Just remember to never give up hope…

By Bud / 10th Nov, 2016

After years of infertility struggles, one man’s moving tribute to his wife when announcing their much long awaited pregnancy has gone viral.

Samantha and Clint Striblin, a couple from Alabama, had gone through years of difficulty to conceive their first child. They’d experienced heartbreak again and again, saying that at least twenty times they’d hoped Samantha was pregnant only to discover she wasn’t. Then, this November, after struggling for so long, they finally received the news they were waiting for when the blood test came back positive.

Clint took to Facebook to spread the good news, to praise his wife for her strength and to tell other people going through a similar experience to never give up hope. Along with his moving message of how it feels to be a father-to-be, he posted a photo of all the needles that he’d (in his words!) stabbed Samantha with, as part of their fertility treatment, arranged into the shape of the heart framing their sonogram picture. A beautiful monument to the journey they have been on – proving that from pain can come something beautiful and positive!

“I’m gonna be a dad!!!! Yes, I stabbed my wife with every needle in this pile. She is a very tough woman and is going to be an outstanding mother. Samantha Strength Striblin, I have seen you struggle so much. I have seen you lose all hope. I have seen your heart break every time you found out you wasn’t pregnant, at least 20 times I have seen it shatter. The times that you seen everyone else get to break their news while you didn’t. I can tell all of you that read this, when I heard the doctor say that the blood test came back positive that i broke down and cried like I have never cried in my life. Not because of the thought of me being a father. It was more of the thought that Samantha was gonna finally get the chance to be a mother. After I could finally choke out words all I could say was, “I’m so happy for you”. The truth is that I would have been happy with just her for the rest of my life if it had to be that way I had came to terms with that. I’m so grateful for our chance to be parents and all of the prayers and thoughts. Really thank you all so much. For those waiting on their turn, that still haven’t gotten their chance. Just remember to never give up hope. #IVF”
